What this service currently uses
Easy Gender Reveal is a free browser-based service. You do not need an account, and the application has no server-side database for your reveal records. We do not currently run Google AdSense ad-serving scripts, display ad units, or use Google Analytics or another analytics SDK in the application. An AdSense account verification tag and an ads.txt publisher record remain in place; neither serves ads or sets advertising cookies.
This describes the current version. Earlier versions included a Google AdSense script. Clearing this site’s storage does not necessarily remove cookies previously set on Google domains; you can manage those separately in your browser.
Reveal information you enter
You may choose a reveal result and a game, and enter a baby name or nickname and an invitation message. The application also records an invitation identifier, creation time, theme, and local view or play counts. These are used to prepare and run the reveal, not to build an advertising profile. Please avoid entering medical records, full names, or other details you would not want an invitation recipient to see.
Storage on your device
Your current draft and saved reveals are stored in localStorage under gender-reveal-draft and gender-reveal-records. This includes reveals opened from an invitation. Local counts are stored on that device and are not a shared analytics dashboard. We do not set an automatic expiry for these records: they remain until they are overwritten or you clear the site’s browser data.
You can delete local records through your browser’s site-data settings. Creating a new draft replaces the current draft but does not remove previously saved reveals. Private browsing or blocked storage can limit saving and sharing. Clearing storage on your device does not clear it on a recipient’s device.
What is included in a shared link
New invitation links put the reveal result, game, name, message, theme, identifier, and creation time in the part after the # symbol (the URL fragment). Fragments are normally not sent to the hosting server in an HTTP request, but page scripts and anyone holding the complete link can read them. The data is encoded for a URL, not encrypted or protected by a password.
Anyone with the complete link can view or forward the information, including the selected result. Sharing by email, messaging, or your device’s share menu gives that information to the recipients and the service you choose. We cannot remotely revoke copied links or erase recipients’ copies. Older links using a data query parameter may also send that data to the host in the request URL.
Hosting and technical requests
The site is hosted on Vercel. Delivering and protecting the site may involve processing your IP address, request URL, browser information, timestamps, and technical logs. This is separate from our browser-local reveal records. Hosting providers may process data in countries other than your own under their service terms and privacy practices. We do not promise a fixed retention period for provider-managed logs.
When you contact us
If you email silentproject.lab@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever message or attachments you send. We use that information to answer your request and handle service or privacy issues. Email is processed through our email provider, Gmail, and is separate from the reveal application.
Include only what is needed to explain the issue. Avoid sending your full reveal link if you want its contents to remain private. You can contact us to request access to or deletion of correspondence; handling may depend on applicable obligations and the email provider’s backup and retention practices.
Possible future Google AdSense advertising
We may introduce Google AdSense on suitable editorial pages in the future. Before enabling it, we will update this policy and implement the required privacy choices. We intend to keep setup, invitations, game play, loading, error, and result screens free of advertising.
If enabled, Google and other disclosed advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, and ad interaction information to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Data may be shared with Google and the partners identified in the consent interface. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites. We do not send the name, invitation message, or selected reveal result to Google for advertising.
Personalized and non-personalized ads
Personalized advertising can use prior activity or interests when the relevant consent and other requirements are met. Non-personalized advertising uses contextual information, such as the page being viewed or a general location. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies or other identifiers for frequency limits, measurement, and fraud prevention, so choosing them does not automatically remove consent requirements. Neither type is currently served by this application.
Your choices and regional consent
You can control or delete cookies and site storage in your browser and manage Google ad personalization through Google’s advertising settings. If advertising is introduced, we will provide applicable choices before requesting consent-dependent advertising storage or processing, including a way to revisit or withdraw consent.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform where required and follow Google’s EU User Consent Policy. Other regions, including applicable US states, may require additional notices or opt-out choices. Those controls will need to be configured for the actual ad service before launch. A link to Google’s settings alone does not replace site-level consent.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of personal information. Contact silentproject.lab@gmail.com about information we hold. Browser-local records can be removed directly through your browser, and Google’s own data choices are managed through Google.
Families and children
The service is designed for people organizing family announcements. We do not ask children to create accounts or provide contact details. Please have an adult manage an invitation and supervise children who play. If you believe a child’s personal information was sent to us, contact us so we can review the request.
