How to play Starbreaker
- Create your reveal with the result you want to share, then open the invitation or start directly from the sharing page.
- Press START. Move the paddle with your mouse, drag with a finger, or use the left and right arrow keys.
- Keep the spark above the paddle and clear the pieces. If the game pauses for another launch, click the board or press Space or Enter to continue.
- Complete the challenge to open the reveal. If you lose, choose TRY AGAIN; the saved reveal result stays the same.
What makes this reveal different
This is a skill game built around aiming and timing. The moving spark and breakable pieces create a visible sense of progress, while the cosmic finale gives the announcement its own moment. Mouse, touch, and arrow-key controls make it suitable for a host playing on a laptop or phone.
Use it for an online gender reveal
For an online gender reveal, put one volunteer in charge of the paddle and share that screen on your video call. Invite guests to cheer after each cleared group of pieces. Allow time for a retry, or rehearse with a practice reveal before inviting everyone to watch.
Tips before you start
If the paddle does not respond to the keyboard, click or focus the game board first. On a touch device, drag inside the board. A missed spark is part of the challenge and does not change the result selected by the host.
Your invitation contains the saved result. Share the complete link only with people you want to invite, and use a separate practice reveal if you want to rehearse. Read our Privacy Policy for how shared links and browser storage work.
